Default Wheel Info?

Can anyone tell me the standard width for a 14” steel TM wheel? And is the bolt pattern 5x4.5? Thanks!

I believe the standard width is 6 inches. And yes, the bolt pattern (easily measured to confirm) is 5 on 4.5.

Years ago, RockyMtnRay tried to use 7-inch wheels instead of the stock 6 inch wheels. It didn't work - too wide.

6" is what I have. Also if buying wheels you need the offset, which I believe is 0

Hey, that gave me an idea. They may not make it, but if you can get a wheel with a slight negative offset (I think I have the sign right being negative), it would bring the tire just a little closer to the centre of the trailer, keeping it away from the fender skirt.

Enough of an offset might even allow the wheel to be removed with the TM closed...???? I never thought of this possibility. This probably wouldn't work though because you'd still have to get the width of the tire between the drum and fender skirt.

But you have to remember the it’s not just open behind the tire... Too far back and it will hit the inner wheel well wall (day that three times fast) and there’s not a whole lot of clearance back there either.

I'm not sure a change in the offset would allow the ehele to be removed without raising the camper. My issue has always been the tire clearance between fender and brake drum. I know when we put in the 2.5" lift kit it came real close to being clearing. I think a 3" lift kit woul have made it.
