Height spec for 2720QB
Hi y’all!
Question about the actual height spec for the model 2720QB. Per the website of TM, when closed outside height is 6’ 7.5”. Is the measurement included the protruding AC unit part? See attached pic.
Our garage has an opening of 6’ 9” allowing only 1.5” clearance. It'll still work if the AC unit on the roof is included in the measurement.
Before I commit to buying it I want to make sure it'll fit in our garage since our HOA doesn't allow RV parked or visible from the street.
Thank you in advance!

Is the 6'9" measurement the height from the pavement to the bottom of the garage door when it is open? Or from the pavement to the underside of the header beam at the top of the opening? Assuming you have an electric opener, the former is easily increased.

Thanks for the response Bill.
It's the latter, from the pavement to the underside of the header beam.

I haven't measured mine with the level of precision that you require but when we measured for the ferry we were under 7' with the AC unit. The TM spec would have to be including the AC in their 6'9" then. Now, whether or not that means you can get in your garage, well, that's a different measurement ;-)
Good luck. If it means anything, ours was out dry camping this weekend and is heading out to Olympic NP Wednesday, it gets used and keeps us more than comfortable ;-)

Thanks jag! At least that gives me something to tinker about. Maybe a flat tire will help give a few inches of clearance.

Height closed
My 2007 2720. Runs about 82 inches. Keep in mind that if your driveway is steep that will increase your TrailManor height trying to get it in the garage, due to the fact that the back of the ac unit sits behind the axle. (Picture the hypotenuse of a right triangle) I have to put wood under the back wheels of TV to tilt the back of the TM down to sneak it past the garage header.
Also in measuring the height of your closed TM on level ground don’t make the mistake I did. I measured from the ground to the roof line and then from the roof to the top of AC unit then added. I did not realize that the roof of the TM slopes up a little bit at the middle adding a couple of inches.

Thanks Sienna for a detailed response. That'll help me a lot with guestimating the clearance. Fortunately, our driveway is flat so that is not a problem.

It doesn’t say it on the website anymore but I’m pretty sure that’s the roof. There used to be a disclaimer that the low profile A/C adds X inches. I think their target height is 82”.

I didn't see it either but 82” would be a good target. Thanks Shane.

The standard height is 79" and 77" if the trailer has the low profile A/C. The lift on the later models adds 2". I think it was 2013 when they started tweaking the axles to add 2" of lift. Before that, there was a 2.5" lift kit available.
