This is made with 4 inch abs pipe two cleanouts and two plugs mounted with two 4 inch two hole pipe straps and tap into the frame with 1/4- 20 ss screws. Did not like opening the bumper cover ,this works much better!!! The Rip

Sewer hose holder
The pipe under the trailer is a good idea since the bumper storage on my 2005 model has so many sharp edges to cut the hose.

Sewer hose holder
I've just completed this "upgrade", and I can not wait to head off to the dump while keeping my TM closed .
I found that my jacks were mounted more towards the rear than "The Rip", but that I had room in front of the jacks with only a minor obstruction of one of the rear drains. I also drilled a series of holes into the plugs, so that some air could circulate and dry out the "stinky slinky" before its next use.
Great project -- MikeD

I also found that the Prest-O-Fit sewer hose and hose adapter fit right in side the 4 inch pipe , It's smaller then other brands of fitting. The Rip

questions for the "pros".
1)Am I wrong in installing a storage tube longer than the prefabbed one?
I'm thinking more like a 76" or 78" tube would be more useful, maybe for fish rods etc.
2)What sort of "end caps" should I look for? I read a review on the prefab pipe that complained about difficulty in closing & or losing its cap.
I am pretty sure how and where I will mount it, but haven't yet decided on what pipe and caps to look for. The EZ Tube seem a little pricey at $31 plus $16 shipping, and is too short for my needs. I don't even know the difference between pvc or abs pipe!

A sewer hose holder can also be made from the square plastic fence posts and post caps that are sold at the DYI stores. I don't have any plans for this. I found a description of one on another RV forum several years ago. Don't remember where.

I have the CW tube on mine
I fabbed a frame and attached the CW tube to it, it has worked out great. Here is a link to one of the pictures: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/112...41466656YvsrST
You could use bolts to fab the frame, but I welded it and then used self tapping bolts to hold the frame to the Trailer frame, it has held up quite nicely for going on 6 years now.

Great looking job on that. But someone refresh me on an item......for those of us with the bumper sewer hose holder in the older TMs, what is the advatage of this add-on?? I keep 2 10' lengths of hose in my bumper with no problems, other than being a little messy, which the PVC will become in short order. The bumper storage seems easier to get to when needed, and also probably easier to wash out when needed.
