Generator use in NF

FWI I found this piece of USFS thoughts on using generators.

As an engineer I learned the average person can hear a 3dbA change in sound level. 3dbA is 2X as loud.

That is some good info, i often wondered what was the rule of thumb on the noise level, i agree, with some of the new gen, they are way under these levels,
