Default Ghost in the Front Roof

Hi all. I have an interesting problem with the front roof electrical. It is a 2002 2720SL. We are camping now for the weekend with our Grandson. Last night at 8:00pm we were sitting on the sofa watching tv when all electrical on the front roof went out. lights, fan, porch light, everything. I checked the 15amp fuse in the breaker box and it was fine. I planned to start a chase today by the light of day. This morning at 5:00am the lights suddenly came back on. I am dumbfounded. I am thinking either I have a ghost or maybe a loose ground somewhere? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The power to the front roof runs up the outside of the lift arm, the white rectangular metal tube at the rear of the front shell on the street side. At the bottom of the arm, I think the wires are routed into the area behind the refrig. At that point, connections are made with wire nuts. One of these nuts is quite possibly loose or corroded.

Do yourself a favor, get rid of any wire nuts and/or "scotch-lock" connectors especially outside the camper. They are not weather tight and I was appalled they used them. Especially the wire nuts to connect the electric brake units to the main camper wiring. If you're not up for soldering, there are heat-shrink weather-proof crimp connectors available at any auto store or even WalMart. Don't bother with the Harbor Freight ones, they are junk.
