Where are all the RV's?
I just got home, traveling from California to Sedona Az. It was a 7 hour drive. MW and I saw about 30 Rv's on the road. Normaly there would have been a couple hundred. Are the really not traveling because of the gas prices?m At a gas station the cashier said, today (Monday) was the slowest day she could remember. I wonder if the high prices are really taking it's toll.
How is it in your areas?

Re:Where are all the RV's?
AT the campground we stayed at there were more 5th wheels , popups, and hard sided trailers than RV's. We are planning our vacation and we are staying in WIS. because of the gas price. So it is definitely affecting us. We usually go out west every year but the price of gas is just to much.

Boy it is sure easy to see you don't live in southwest Texas! It's 100 miles just to the next town from here and 150 to the next campground. 200 before anything changes.

All three. Most of the time I enjoy the wide open spaces that is until I need something I can't get in town then that 150 mile drive for a milk shake does seem a little excessive. ;D
Red,
Del Rio, 150 west of San Antonio/south of San Angelo and 350 east of Big Bend.

Boy!, you are far away Windbreaker...at least you're a little closer to New Mexico, and Big Bend than we are. We're in Houston. Your distance to Choke Canyon is about the same as it would be for us. Have you been there?

Re:Where are all the RV's?
Looked it up, looks kinda borning to me unless you are really into fishing, I'm not. But I can suggest Palmetto State Park, lots of nature and kinda strange for what it is and where it is.
