spare tire

Where is the spare mounted on a 2720sl, when we got it it had been repoed and I don't know where or how to mount it.
any help and pictures from the forum would be nice.

Underneath on the newer.. Mine is on the back. Search spare tire for pix and a mod.

There is a rounded black bar ( Handle) under the TM right near the steps. You need to pull the silver retaining pin holding it to the frame then pull out on the handle and it will slide out and down. Caution when you pull the retaining pin and start to pull, it will drop suddenly as soon as it clears the mount so be careful.

If the entire rack is actually missing (with a repo item you never know what has happened), it won't be hard to recreate. Let us know.
