Rear Window Cover Replacement
I just discovered that the rear window cover (What ever it is officially called ???) has a crack running along the rivets. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. It doesn't have to be a TM part but would consider it.

Re: Rear Window Cover Replacement
Are you talking about the plastic stone guard on the outside of the unit?

Re: Rear Window Cover Replacement
yep,
Sorry, I don't know where you can get a stone guard for the rear of your trailer but now that we got a name for it maybe someone else does.
I have found that TM sells their parts a little cheaper than some other places. They had the lowest price on a bathroom light that I just had to replace.

Yes, call TM directly. They are competitively priced as I've certainly found out myself........

Re: Rear Window Cover Replacement
I contacted TM and found out that the replacement will be $178.00 plus shipping and handling. May try a local RV Service shop to see if they have any from damaged RV's.

Re: Rear Window Cover Replacement
Since the window cover is not a structurally loaded component of the trailer and hasn't yet actually come apart, have you considered simply reinforcing the rivet attachment area with another strip of heavy aluminum or perhaps even stainless steel? You might have to get a bit creative with how you attach the reinforcing material (new rivets?, screws or bolts?, high strength adhesive?) but I would submit that this will probably be faster and much simpler than trying to locate a similar cover from a different brand of RV, or (ideally) from a damaged/scrapped TM. And you won't have the hassle of getting the color and graphics to match up to the rest of your TM ("white" is a very hard color to get a match for).

Re: Rear Window Cover Replacement
Wow! For that kinda money so would I. I would look at a lot of junk yards first. Hope you find something.
