Hi Ken,
That's a darn nice trailer mover you have in your YJ
Not sure about the SF frontal area spec. I have been through some mean winds, from all directions and the rig is very stable, the Jeep actually feels more stable while towing and the 4.0 L inline 6 has amazing torque but on grades it needs second gear at about 4500 to 4800 rpm for 50 to 55 mph. Basically I am able to drive safely and stay with the flow of slower traffic, passing the slower vehicles. I regeared the pumpkins for towing, so it actually works well, all things considered.
These TMs being low should have a pretty small frontal face BUT 25 SF is very small as well.
As for weight I doubt I am under the GVWR but I do all I can to stay as close as possible. One thing that helps, most times it's just me in the TV. I have not weighed my rig, mainly because I don't have many options...I either tow with my Jeep or I stay home.
As for the specs here's what I found:
Capacities/Weights
Weight Distribution - Automatic Transmission - % Front=49.0
Payload Capacity - Maximum [lb]=750
Weight Distribution - Automatic Transmission - % Rear=51.0
Base Curb Weight - with Automatic Transmission [lb]=4013
Towing Capacity - Maximum (Properly Equipped) [lb]=3500
Weight Distribution - Manual Transmission - % Rear=49.0
Fuel Tank Capacity [gal]=19.0
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) - Maximum [lb]=4600
Weight Distribution - Manual Transmission - % Front=51.0
Base Curb Weight - with Manual Transmission [lb]=3977
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) - Standard [lb]=4600
