Default Change couch?

One other thing we have done on our 3326 is leave the couch bed folded down and put pillows (from king bed) along the back wall. That makes the couch much larger and comfortable. Not only that, Lady, our dog loves being under the couch in her den.

The downside is that the folding tables are hard to use.

I thought of doing something similar. That cushion is too narrow to be comfortable for me (it's fine for my wife's skinny butt). If I did that, I would make a total new seat that is lighter and easier to lift.

It amazes me that everything on the TM is designed to be light weight except that darn sofa cushion. That thing weighs a ton and is very hard to handle.

If the cushion were large, one piece and light weight, it could be hinged in the rear (against the wall). When you want the use the tables, just lift the cushion, pull up the table, lower the cushion, then put down the leg.

Because it is not a sofa cushion, it is a cantilevered sofa bed which when extended must support the weight of an adult. Only a steel frame will permit that design.
