Old Tennesee factory TM pictures
I came across this site with a ton of pictures of the TM assembly line. Perhaps I just haven't searched here well enough, but this is as close to the inside of a TM I've ever seen:

Is anyone else amazed that they literally had men CARRY, old school style, the upper shells to the unit to place? I would have expected to see them on some sort of rail system, hanging from the ceiling, lowered in place via wenches.....

And maybe this is one of the reasons why they've had so many issues with the Nebraska shop.....There isn't that many men living within 50 miles of the "new" facility

Good thing I actually read it as wrench.... I can't afford a new keyboard.
I noticed that the floor is still framed with wood. I guess the mounts for the torsion bars need to be screwed into it. However, given the design, I wouldn't expect the floor to rot easily. I think rotting floors are usually due to water running down the walls from roof leak. Our walls would drain the water straight to the ground. Also, I did notice that the underside seems to be sprayed with more foam.

Talk about pressure on the guy who attaches the lift arms while the rest are patiently holding and waiting.
