Question Why no chains on tongue?signed Newb

Hello,
We are trying to get ready to pick up our 2009 2720SL TM. We got a 4Runner,with a class III hitch, got the ball etc, from the camper supply place.
I ordered safety chains, because there are not any on the tongue of the TM.
I was told there are cables. Is that instead of chains?
Signed,
Never towed anything

Default Yes, cables instead of chains

Hello and welcome to TM

Yes, the cables are very substantial I can assure you. Keep your
receipt for the chains so you can return them.

TM seems to use cables, which are just as good as chains. Here's what my rig front looks like.

TM is the first camper I have had with cables. In the 5+ years we used them, I like them more than chains. Something about how they coil up and don't hang down.
