Need to replace a cap on the kitchen sink faucet
As a result of my stupidity, I left the kitchen faucet (2008 2720SL) cap attached when I put the TM away last winter. (Upstate NY, plenty cold.) The cap is broken, apparently from being pushed up by freezing water. The cap I'm talking about goes at the base of the faucet, where it pivots. Not sure of the exact name.
An exhaustive Amazon search yielded nothing, as did a search of the TM parts listing.
Anyone have an idea of where I can get one of these things?

I’m not sure of what you are needing. Can you post a picture of the faucet?

Can't show the actual faucet, as I closed up my TM for the winter. But this one looks essentially the same. Note the round object at the base of the faucet arm--that's what I'm trying to replace. Hope you can help.

We sell faucets and many faucet parts, but I don't think you can buy that nut (unless you can get it from the factory that made the faucet).
Probably be a lot easier just to replace the faucet.

Ken, you may end up replacing the whole faucet, verses just the cap. If you knew the brand of faucet that would help a lot, but it doesn't mean that you'll find that exact part you need.
I know replacing the faucet is not easy, but it has been done. I've added a couple of links; two are for RV faucet replacement sites and the first is from the plumbing section of the forum on replacing the faucet. You might even find the same version of your faucet from other commenters ideas where you could cannibalize the part you need.

Ken -
Your photo doesn't make it entirely clear, but it looks like neither the cap nor the ring is actually broken - jut separated. If so, would it be dumb to suggest that a bit of glue might rejoin them? If the faucet is plastic (most of them are), there is a special epoxy made just for plastic. At that location, there is very little water pressure, so it might work.

The faucet spout is metal, and I thought about trying to glue the parts back together, but not sure that would hold. I hope to replace just the spout, and I've decided I need to open the rig up again to take care of this. I thank all who have offered suggestions, and I'll post again once the problem is solved.

Ken -
For metal parts, JBWeld epoxy is a very good repair material. Remember, there is nearly no water pressure at the location of the ring and cap, since the spout just beyond it is an open-end pipe to the outside world (the sink). System water pressure never appears at this cap unless you somehow block the end of the spout.

Several years ago our kitchen sink tap also sprung a leak at the base, where the ring attaches to the base. After numerous searches (we were in Tucson, AZ at the time) I found a replacement at Camping World. Unfortunately one could not buy just the tap. I ended purchasing the entire faucet assembly just to get the new tap. The counter clerk was sympathetic to my dilemma and did point out that I would now have spare parts for the rest of my faucet assembly. That was easier than replacing the entire faucet assembly.
