Can a TM be moved a short distance while open?
From one side of my yard to the other, 30 ft tops. V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y.
I'm prepping for a trip and just don't feel like taking the whole thing down/putting it back up for such a short distance. Have to trim a tree branch and the trailer's in the way.
Please someone say yes it's possible?

Are you thinking of moving it over a smooth (paved) level surface? If so, you can probably do it. But no matter what, the cost/benefit ratio is terrible.

To add on to Bill's comments. Is this a straight line move or is a turn or bend going to happen? Straight, ok. Turn or bend, will your rig make contact with the tow vehicle? Starts and stops, watch the locking pins and aluminum bars. Good luck and I hope it is an uneventful relocation in yer yard.

The time it takes to close the camper, move it, and reopen is a lot shorter than the time it will take to stop the tears when you crunch the corner of the raised roof or opened front slide.

Yeah, that's what I thought...
Not a straight line, not a flat service and I figured trying to move it open was a bad idea. It's just not easy for me to open and close, even though it's been adjusted. Works ok on a perfectly flat and level surface.
Can't blame a girl for trying to find an easier way. :-D

Asking before damaging the camper is smart. I hate to count how many wrong things I did over the years cause I didn’t ask a question first. As others will say, there are no stupid questions.

Where you live, maybe me and wife can come over and help you move it. We do up/down all the time and would glad to be of assistance. I'm a little handicapped but the wife can take down and put up by herself so it will get done

Thanks very much for the offer, but I can manage it. I was just looking for a smarter-not-harder solution. :-D

moving open trailmanor
I move our open Trailmanor with my Ranger pickup. The lower height of the bed means that I can take turns, and go over very uneven ground without hitting the front of the Trailmanor.
