Tom,
I had a 2720 that I towed with my 4Runner. When we first hooked it up at the dealer the 4Runner had a significant rear squat. We raised the ball but that was not enough even with the TM empty.
Salesman said I would need a WDH and went inside to pick out a suitable hitch. He returned a few minutes later and informed me that he was wrong and we could not use a WDH with a swing A-frame due to the stress it would put on the TM frame.
The ultimate solution was to add suspension air bags to the 4Runner. After getting the air bags I was able to get both the TM and 4Runner to be level with various loads. We ran like that for 9 years without issue and it towed well without sway. We didn't run above 65 mph.
I also learned later that WDHs should not be used with uni-body vehicles due to the stress they put on the TV.
I hope this helps.
Phil
