Default wall paneling

had to remove panneling on front interior drivers side due to water leak. want to install 3/8' thick floor panels on front inbterior shell. can i increase tension on torsion bars to compensate for increased weight?

You can adjust the torsion bars to some extent, assuming they are not already maxed out. The answer really depends on the amount of added weight. You can try it by simply taping an equivalent added weight to the wall or ceiling of the front shell. Is it noticeably harder to open?

Also, removing a 1/8" panel and substituting a thicker 3/8" panel might give you trouble in the form of added drag and paint scraping as you close the shells. Before doing the job, try to confirm that it won't.
