Default Tires tires tires

I have a 2008 2720 TM that I just purchased. I don't know how long the tires have been on the unit, so considering replacements is high on my to do list.

I am also considering upgrading wheels. The unit is currently equipped with 14" wheels and tires. What modifications are necessary to enable 15" wheels and tires? A lift kit isn't really an option because the trailer just clears the top of my garage door.

Default going from 14 to 15" tires

Use the search tool, there are several threads on the lift kit, also from what I have seen here some 2008 models don't require the lift kit to make the change. On the side wall is a DOT date code, four digits, week is two and year is two may be on the inside side wall.
You may want to spring for the $12 sponsor so you don't loose access to all the threads after your 30 day trial. There is a lot of good information on this forum and well worth the 12 bucks IMO

Your 2008 is probably already lifted. This can be accomplished two ways. Older TM's were lifted by adding a lift kit which is essentially a spacer ( box steel tube) between the axle and the frame. The newer models just use an axle with a different torsion bar angle. You can check this easily. Looks at the arm that the wheel is mounted on. The older ones were at zero degrees or basically parallel to the frame rails. The newer ones, that arm angles down at 22.5 degrees from the frame rails. No need to measure, it is one or the other you should be able to see it. The axle may even still have a readable tag that will show the model number as well and you can determine the angle from that.
