Beer Bread!
3 cups Self-rising flour
3 tbsp Sugar
1 12 oz beer at room temp. (Regular not unleaded) Do not use a light beer.
Mix all ingredients well, place in greased or buttered pot or loaf pan, and bake 40-45 min at 375 degrees. Butter the top of bread about 20 minutes into baking.
The dough rises as it bakes so there is no waiting. Mix and bake is it. It is similar in flavor and texture to Irish soda bread. I found it tasted best when I used a local Honey Wheat micro brew.
