Hey Everybody,

Due to unanticipated family commitment, we will not be able to attend the Spring Dixie rally. Looks like there will be many folks at this one. Hate to miss it.
Hope everyone has a good time. Tkae care, Grampa

Default West Point Lake - Dixie Chapter Rally

Brightsu,

We made reservations at the end of November, and the suggested sites were already reserved, so we got one of the "overflows" (#39). I think it's a pull thru, as I recall. West Point Lake must be a popular place in April! We have reservations for April 6-8.

We live in Georgia, and have always had pretty good luck finding space at state parks. We try and arrive on Sunday afternoons when most folks have already left, and usually have the pick of the place.

Nick

Smile Spring Rally

We'll be on site 114, I guess that might be way out in the boon docks, hopefully we will see you there. We will have our grandson with us, he's on spring break from school. We will be there April 6th-10th. We've never been there before, is it a nice campground? We like to camp on the state ones.

Pam

Leslie and Nick,

We camped at West Point a couple weeks ago, site 39. That site is a pull-through. It is off by itself. Nearest site is about 100yds away. There are 2 additional parking spaces large enough for 2 cars. There is space for a fairly large tent. It has a picnic table, and fire ring. The lake is about 50 feet away. For us it was a wonderful site. Quite. Could hear ducks, frogs, etc. in the evening and morning. Watching the sun on the lake was beautiful. Hope you enjoy.

Default Rally at West Point Lake

Brightsu - Look forward to meeting you. We'll have our two camping fanatic dogs with us. Have never been to this park before, but other Georgia SP's have been very nice. They do a good job with our tax dollars

Grampa - Well, that is a coincidence that you stayed at the same site. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! I find that pull throughs are less stressful for the "backup handicapped", like me! Sorry you won't be able to make this rally.
