First, NOW that I have examined the Lift System on my 3326 in detail, let me rescind almost everything I have posted on this subject. I will be working on a detailed analysis with pictures and drawings, but until then:

muz123, my rear shell front struts do indeed rub on the front shell rear torsion bars just like yours do. It looks like it is designed that way. I think it becomes a problem if the rear strut hangs more than an inch below the torsion bar it is attached to (see photo 3).

I also NOW know that the struts are not all supposed to be the same length. The front shell struts (all four) should be 1" longer than the rear shell struts. That is most visible in photo 3 also. The bottom of both the front and rear shells should be the same height above a common reference (level ground, top of torsion bars, etc.) but since the front shell is taller (to accommodate the top seal) the struts are longer.

On my 3326, the rear shell struts are all 41" as measured from the top of the torsion bar to the center of the pivot pin head in the side of the top shell. The front shell struts are all 42" as measured the same way.

Hopefully this is helpful. I will try to clarify it later this week with more photos and drawings.

Jerry

Jerry-

Great information! I spent the morning adjusting the lift arms to all the same length, but was also wondering if the lengths should be the same. I email TrailManor about a week ago but no response yet (also tried calling). I'll try adjusting to your recommendations and see if it improves opening/closing. Thanks again!
