My 91 year old mother in law has the Allure floor in her living room, kitchen and hallway. Trust me she keeps the house really warm er...make that hot and has a gas heater in the living room. Her flooring is just fine and has no lifting.

thanks Kokilo, Yes, the Allure is the same product I saw the other day. I only want to do this job once, so I will have to determine if the product will stand up to the Texas heat. As some of the posts have shown, you most all have a square entry way where as the 3124KB in 2003 has an angle entry way and that makes for some significant adjustments to the boards if I were to use the floating click and lock system. The unit has that odd shaped cupboard on the left side of the entry door where the fire extingusher was stored.

I did the peel and stick with wood grain that looks like planks about 3 feet long. I'm sure I bought it at Home Depot as there are no other similar stores near us. Was easy to do, has not lifted, and looks great. I have had tons of compliments on it as it really updates the look, and is way easier to keep clean. (also reupolstered the sofas, but that's another project..

Sorry- just read about the temp issue. This was done a couple of years ago, and has since baked for a week in Myrtle Beach and another in West Virginia with no issues. Certainly not Texas, but hot. Good luck!

thank you all for the comments. I had not considered the Primer 1-2-3 but will add that to my list. Was that a spray or roll on or brush on technique?

When we bought out 2005 TM 270 new we were surprised that vinyl flooring was an extra cost option. I would have thought that Vinyl flooring was cheaper than carpet.

One of the best upgrades we ordered. A light sweepin is all that you need while camping.

I am considering adding some indoor/outdoor carpet to insert. Probably in four sections:

1. Under table.
2. Kitchen space.
3. Back hall.
4. Bathroom.

I want carpet that I can hose off in the driveway at home.

I want carpet because it is cold in the winter.

We ride ATVs. Sometimes our shoes are very dirty from dither mud or dust.

With indoor/outdoor carpet not attached to the floor I can replace it at any time. The best of both world's.

To Pop Beavers-we have several throw rugs with rubber backing. 2 are about 5feet long for table and bath "hall", one is ~3by 5 for in front of sink, and the last is in front of the door. All were from Wally World, and inexpensive, and hit the washing machine after each trip. Just a thought...

Whatever you decide to do make sure you post a picture of the finished floor, I want to see the results.
