Let's see if we can put this one to bed. I think the problem is that no one is quite sure which two holes you are describing - there are more than two under the TM.
The attached picture shows the underside of the my TM, under the refrigerator compartment. The front of the TM is to the left in the picture. You can see the pair of holes. Both are screened, though it is a bit hard to see. In the left hole, you can see the muffin fan that pulls hot air down and out of the refrig compartment. The hole just to the right of it provides makeup air into the compartment when the TM is closed, and the vents in the sidewall of the TM are blocked.
The hole for the bathroom vent fan is much further aft, but looks just like one of these.
