These costs are way out of line. If you have a metal valve stem installed at the same time you are having new tires mounted, I seem to recall that they cost a buck or two per tire.
Of course, if you decide to have a tire dismounted, remounted, and rebalanced, simply to replace the valve, then the cost of mounting and balancing will be greater than the cost of the new valve stem. So don't do that. Have the metal stem installed whenever the tire is already going to be off the wheel.
Short answer - check with your tire guy.

Agree with Bill check with a new tire guy. I paid about $2.50 per valve and tire guy installed them on three existing mounted tire/wheel sets for $15.00 total. Suggest you buy system ( with 3 sensors) now have metal stems on TM tires then buy more sensors and have stems added to TV next time you change tires.

User 062720 has an interesting signature.
And under his name we see "BannedUsers".

Interesting, That sig was not there earlier. There will always be a few like him and sooner or later his selfish attitude will backfire.

People like this have to be taken with a grain of salt. Probably many issues swirling around overhead looking for a place to roost.

Just a guess but it appears to me that the sig everone is talking about was placed there by either our board Admin or Mod in order to expose his multiple signups on the board.

If you change your sig it will change on every post that you previously made .
Changed mine from a city to Central Oregon and it did that. He knew what he was doing and just did not care.
