If you have not already done so, you might want to check the dates on your TM's tires. Old tires and valves on trailers can still look good while being dangerous to use. Lots of good posts on tires and flats on the road in the archives. Also, you might need to get a good jack.
Enjoy!

Keeping it going for 15 years...
Store it inside.
Maintain the tires.
Mainain the bearings.
Don't tow it too fast.
Don't overload it.
Keep the seals clean.
Keep the awning clean.
Don't leave the awning up when you leave the area.
Service the water heater anode.
Keep the water tank clean.
Those are some of the main things we do.

I think the proper name for the screw head is Robertson. It appears to be commonly shortened to Roberts. I never heard of Thompson.
If you go into a hardware store like Ace or Home Depot, none of these names will help. You will usually find "square drive" to be the name of choice, and one that the clerks will know.
I'm thinking you want a #2 size. In my toolbox, I have a green one and a red one, standard colors for #1 and #2 (probably bought them as a set). In all the years I've owned a TM, I've never used the green one.

And I learned this weekend that my tires, although only about 3 years old, were too old as one of them separated its tread and destroyed my black water tube and damaged the Thetford.
Lesson learned.

Sorry to hear that.
On the positive side, you weren't in a motor home with someone using the facilities when it happened...
