Of course this is colored by two things:
Heavy rain (frog stranglers) are common in Florida
Used to race a B/P Corvette in SCCA and topping out in fourth, the last thing you need is a bad tire.
So am a bit biased but have a lot of Michelins.
One thing confuses me about the Taskmasters. You said they were a ST tire with a M (81 mph) rating. Isn't that a contradiction ?

The whole 65mph speed rating is kinda unnerving. I would rather have a buffer; I don't want to be towing at the max speed rating for the tire, God forbid needing to pass. I wanted the 215/75R14 Provider tires from etrailer.com (same as the TaskMaster but LRC; dual axles on the 3326 provide plenty of load capacity) mainly for the 81mph speed rating but they couldn't get 4 of them to me in time. So I got some Carlisle tires locally. They are ok, I guess...

"The whole 65mph speed rating is kinda unnerving." Well if you have to ask... I suspect there is a lot of Kentucky windage in there. Have seen it said "add 5 psi for 5 mph more".
Suspect this makes allowances for typical Americans (overweight and underinflated).
That said I find a 65 mph cruise relaxing when towing and since I am underweight/fully inflated/have nylon cap/ monitor the tires temperature am not concerned if make an occasional excursion.
Also these are 15' tires. I'd be more concerned if they were 8" tires.

This past Spring I had new Maxxis tires put on my TM. They're ST225/75R15 and I was thinking they were load range D, but I just went and looked at them and it says they're load range E. I have the same rims that came with the TM and I think those were rated for 65psi and I noticed on my tires it says a max of 80 psi. I have them inflated to 65psi...hopefully that's ok. I can't find anything on max mph with these tires. Probably not an issue as I usually set cruise control for 65mph, but I'm wondering just the same. If anyone else who also has these tires knows more, please advise.

I air my GY LR-C to 59 psi. There is a GY service bulletin for marathon tires to add 10 PSI if traveling over 65 mph. We travel at 65 most of the time, but at times will push it up.

Some people don't have the luxury to be able to pitty patty down the the road at 65 mph ...they need to get there and fast! They just don't have the time and need to maximize there efforts. Like me for instance. We are lucky if we can get 10-11 days off in a row each year due to job constraints, so we need to get there. Especially if it's any distance from home. Even living almost in the middle of the US, it's a stretch to try and go to either coast and have any time to see and do things. That's why I have to always take the interstate if possible at 75 mph. Last year we went to califonication and to save time I drove to Flagstaff by myself and picked up my better half at the air port there. That saved her two days of vacation and 10 days later she had to fly home by herself from San Francisco as she had to be back at work. As for me, it was a very long drive back. That was NO fun at all, but there was no other way she could get out to the west coast as she had never been there. We did see some wonderful country though!
Me? Well I'm simi retired and if I don't have any major gigs then that's cool. Linda on the other hand has a very responsible position and she can only be gone at the most 12-13 days. So considering travel time (there and then back) we only have "X" amount of days to spend on the real part of the vacation. Plus that 12-13 days can't all be used. One needs at least two days off to decompress when they get home.
We do what we can to make it all work....after all, all my efforts are for her and she deserves the best because that is exactly what she is!
Tom

Provider ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D
I'm looking to replace the tires on my 2014 TM 2417 Sport that came with Marathon ST215/75R14 LR C. These tires have been great for 3 trips out west from Florida with no incidents. I always inflate to maximum inflation pressure which is possibly why I haven't experienced problems. Does anyone have experience with Provider ST215/75R14 LR D with Nylon Overlay from etrailer.com? https://www.etrailer.com/Tires-and-W...M2157514D.html
I'm not interested in 15" tires but upgrading from LR C to LR D with overlay would be a welcomed option. My TM was purchased new with all the heavy options and I carry additional cargo, water, 2 bikes on factory hitch, etc. Camping ready, the CAT scale shows total trailer wt at 3880 lbs and with only the axle on the scale at 3400 lbs. With the actual axle wt plus wheels/tires over 200 lbs, that means my axle load is less than 3200 lbs with AL-KO axle load carry capacity of 3500 lbs so no concern there.
To protect from sidewall flexing and heat build up leading to failure, it is recommended to inflate trailer tires at or near maximum inflation pressure. With new tires, it means I would be changing the tire pressure from 50 psi to 65 psi. What has the condition of a trailer been with a similar size tire at 65 psi? I don't want loosen the trailer screws, etc. with shake, rattle, and roll. Would the trailer ride change significantly at 50 psi versus 65 psi if the tires are at maximum inflation pressure? Would the axle absorption compensate for the higher psi tire. Has anyone tried this eTrailer Provider tire?

I think Craigrrr has those Taskmaster tires (the LR C are the Provider model, if I remember)... The only advice I can offer is whatever you decide, make sure they balance the tires when they are installed. The tires on my 3326 were not balanced when I bought it last fall. First few trips always included a loose screw scavenger hunt while setting up. 2 trips after new tires that were balanced, I've had no screws loose (in the camper anyway)...
