a) mine came with an inline blade fuse.
b) two fuses inline won't hurt anything
c) anything is possible but any internal fuse should be easy to change.

Use the inline fuse
The inline fuse should be mounted close to the battery. It prevents a short in the wire leading to the jack from becoming a white-hot disaster. The fuse in the jack won't help with that, it only protects against problems inside of the jack.
Since this wire is outdoors and in an area with high wind while towing, things moving around, and gas bottles, it really should be protected.

Re-read this, battery is in the front of the trailer, in the dinette bench, so the fuse would be protected. He is hoping the wire to the converter is the original wire that came with the jack and was not cut...but I have a roll of 10 gauge, 2 in fact since all Pepboys had was 8 ft.rolls.

Home Depot or Lowes is a better place for longer rolls of 10 or 12 GA stranded - only use solid where it is protected and is not expected to flex.

He is hoping to use the original wire that came with the jack. If it is only 7ft long, it probably would not have made it from jack to battery with out additional wire, so an 8 ft roll with what is there if it is the correct length, should be plenty. Probably close. That may be why it is wired to the converter. Raymond thinks Jon added the jack.
We may use the max blade fuse for converter to get to Rocky Gap, then he may let Tracy fix it. She added one to her Jayco hybrid. Weather has him dragging.. he will be 79 this month. If he feels better next week, while the roof is up, he will rewire it. I do not do electricity stuff.
I have to raise the roof to unplug, so will get in and change fuse. Put the stuff we are going to work on in there.
We decided to change the toilet to a curve. While it is out, going to lay vinyl planking in the bathroom. The floor is quite yucky.

Got under the table and opened the converter, it says on the converter, the max blade fuse is 25 amps, the paperwork says draw is between 20 and 24 amps with load. So I think the 25 I put in there will buy me some time if we do not get around to rewiring the jack next week. Raymond decided he is staying home, so it will be girls working on the camper weekend.
