I don't use hookups, so none of the electric appliances for me. But, I was given a Can Cooker Jr. 6 months ago. It can be used on a stovetop, grill, or a campfire.
Basically, it is supposed to replace a pressure cooker. It cooks food more quickly than a simple kettle. They say it tenderizes meat, but I have not left anything in long enough to notice a tenderizing effect. However, I have left it on long enough to boil it dry a couple times (don't do it!)
I have used it on my camp stove, and my home stovetop, to make many tasty meals. The
Website has more recipes on it now than when I got my Can Cooker, so there are lots of ideas there.
I like mine, and will continue to use it.
