headed home
We are back in Tx and slowly working our way home. The Tx parks pass saved us a bundle this year. NM state parks has one for out of state residents for $225 but it takes about 21 days of stays to pay for it.
We leave Ft Worth Sunday morning for Purtis Creek SP also in Tx.
We stopped at Sugarite SP in NM, near Raton. Really liked this one. A lot of history with the old mine.
After Sugarite we stopped at Clayton Lake SP near Clayton, Nm. Survived 45mph gusts there.
Did stops at Lake Meridith NRA near Fritch, Tx. Free camping there. Do the Alibates Flint tour while there, its also free.
Palo Dura SP near Canyon, Tx was real nice, enjoyed the 5 mile Lighthouse trail.
We actually like Cap Rock SP better outside of Quahque, (kitty quay) Tx
