N300 Norcold selector switch issue.
So I posted about having issues with firing up my Norcold N300 on another thread. I have already gone through the following steps.
1. Pulled the ref. out of the camper to do a full refurbish
2. Replaced the burner
3. Replaced the thermocouple
4. Cleaned all contacts with contact cleaner and Drexel tool.
5. Sanded and repainted all coil parts.
6. Cleaned the flue.
After some verification with the multimeter my attention tuned to the selector switch. Has anyone taken this selector switch apart? It's actually easy to do. After disconnecting all of the wire connections there are two tabs that once released exposes the inner working of the selector switch. It's just simple copper contact tabs that are pressed down to complete a given circuit. The issue on mine seems to be when on propane the tabe is not getting pushed down all of the way and closing the circuit. I tried bending the tab with needle nose pliers which worked for one or two tries and keeps the flame but then flame goes out again. Problem is norcold discontinued the selector switch on the n300 units and can no longer get a replacement otherwise it would already be in.
Anyone have the same issue and fixed this?

There is a service bulletin from Notcold about the switch. My WiFi & internet are spotty at best, can’t seem to find it. But it’s been mentioned more than a few times on this forum.

I just searched Norcold Service Bulletin and it’s mentioned in the first post that came up.

I wonder if Shane was thinking about the service bulletin regarding the connectors going to the refrigerator propane interrupter. A wire replacement kit was made available to correct the pilot going out when the interrupter button was released. The switch coralcruze has an issue with is the mode selector. See thumbnails showing the back cover, the second with the cover removed revealing the contacts.

Yep... thats the one. I wonder if I can just hold down the contact that completes the propane circuit and see if it will hold the flame. Have to try that to confirm. Apparently norcold discontinued that selector switch. So I have to fix it.

@commodor47 Holy Molly do you see what I see... that red wire is connected to the wrong tab... tab that's is labeled ac2 on your picture is upper left corner as viewed from the back of ref. Now take a look at the picture I took of my ref. Hmnnn I think we found the issue so thank you for posting that picture.
Apparently the previous owner hooked up the recalled wires to the wrong tab. We never boondocked until now and could not figure out what is wrong with the ref.
I guess the good thing is that this issue made me remove the entire refrigerator and refurbish it and boy did it need it. I don't mind having to replace a few of the components that I did because after 16 years in use they needed to go. The ref. Is cleaned up and looks great. This weekend I am going to rewire it and let you know how it went. Hopefully we will boondock with a cold ref. For the first time. Lol

Here are some befor pictures of the refrigerator I refurbished. When I get in there next weekend I will try to remember to post new pics. I was amazed how ruty it was and how much debris and rust came out of the flue. It's now repainted and cleaned. Can't wait to see how well it all works now.

Ok so I just checked the wiring diagram... seems that your red wire is NOT connected to the correct tab afterall at least according to the wiring diagram. G3 should be red wire not ac2. Can you confirm that you can run the refrigerator on propane?
Attached below is the wiring diagram off the top of my refrigerator.
