Pocket Stops Missing Bolt
I breaking loose from another thread. I've gotten awesome advice from the forum.
My front shell on the door side goes forward too far. After advice and research, I wanted to adjust the pocket stops. There are allot of old threads about pocket stops(with pics missing) but I couldn't find any on missing bolts. The bolt for the front and back shell (door side) is missing. I need to replace it.
Does anyone know if that bolt is holding something in place? In other words was it holding the rubber stop or is it held in place by something else?
How does adjusting the bolt adjust the travel of the shell?
How long is the bolt?
I'm trying to figure out if I can just buy a new bolt from Ace and screw it in. I'm guessing its not that simple.
I'm hesitant to take out the bolt and nut on the other side to use as an example. I'm afraid something may fall out of place behind the wall. Then I'll have 2 shells messed up. Any advice??

I took a quick visual inspection of my pocket stops with the missing bolts. They're broke. The wood is cracked in two. Not sure how that happened. Maybe they were forced open or bolts were too long. i was hoping I could still go camping this weekend. Is that dangerous??

I can't think of any danger that is posed, other than the annoyance of dealing with shells that stop at the wrong spot. Open gently, and have an adult beverage at hand.

cpiznee,
I am trying to picture which bolt you are questioning. Is it the one pictured in the attached thumbnail?

Its the one Bill is referring to in his link. I replaced the bolts and reopened the Trailmanor. The front shell still opened too far forward. I closed it and took a look at the actual pocket stop. The wood holding the rubber strike plate was broke. Basically the bolt head does not touch the rubber strike plate. It has been pushed up too far in the wall. I have been in contact with Trailmanor customer service and I'm sending them pics. I'll post my repair procedure.
Regardless I'm goin camping this weekend!!
