Replacing the kitchen faucet.
I've made a thorough inspection of my "new" (2001) 3023 and the only thing I'm disappointed in is the quality of the kitchen sink faucet. Anybody out there replaced one? If so, what did you replace it with (will a standard kitchen faucet fit?) and are there any tricks/pitfalls I should be aware of before trying it?
Thanks

Take the old one out and go down to Home Depot or Lowes. You should easily find a replacement, probably many of them.

Make sure the new faucet sits as low as the current 1 to prevent shells from hitting the new 1.

Thanks folks, that's what I though. Really good point about being low enough to fit under the shells.

Related situation-
The kitchen faucet knobs on my TM have to be tightened more and more to keep the faucet from leaking. I'm going to change out the washers and see if that helps. I agree - these camper faucets are not the best quality, but even the big name brands sold at the home improvement stores (for home use) these days, are only chrome plated plastic.

It may be a cost saving measure, but the chrome plated plastic may also be an attempt to keep weight down. The bathroom sink faucet is plastic, too. A pound or two here and there starts to add up quick....before you know it, you have an extra 100 pounds or more.

Broken Tap
Hi There,
So it has been a weekend to fix up our new to us 2002 3023 and when everything is JUST about done, what do I do??? Drop the hanging cabinet above the sink and break off the tap. I found that this easily screwed off and am wondering if I can simply buy the tap?
I had an extra kitchen tap from my house but found it would be too high (luckily I thought of it before connecting) so I bought one about about the same height, only once I got it apart it seems completely different size, connections and everything???
Has anyone fixed this before?

Usually you just have to go down to Home Depot and find one about the same height. You'll probably have to replace the whole faucet but it isn't hard the tubing connections should be standardized, 1/2 inch tubing I think.

Had to replace our tap three years ago. Couldn't find just the tap, had to buy the complete faucet. Found the replacement faucet at Camping World in Tuscon, AZ. The upside is having a replacement faucet on hand.
