Front Window Question

I've not yet had a chance to get the manual for my 2009.5 TM from the factory (didn't come with one, go figure), but DW asked an interesting question the last time we were out, this weekend: In the event of a fire, how do we get out? Now, for the back window, that's pretty straightforward, there's a lever/latch and you're good to get out. But, for the front window (over the slide couch on the SL), there's no obvious way to get it open, aside from the big "EXIT" sticker in front.

So, I put the question out there: How does one use the front emergency window, in the event of an emergency?

Well, in my old 1989 TM 23, you don't go thru the windows. You unlatch the bed and pull it inward. Of course to slide the rear bed, you need to drop the wardrobe and the bathroom before you can slide it. However, after unlatching the beds, you can lift the edge with the latch and crawl out under the bed.

You do not need to slide the rear bed, just lift it up after popping the latch into the bathroom wall. The purpose of that latch is to prevent bad people from entering the TM by just pushing up on the rear bed from the outside.

I have the standard front bed, so I would do the same in the front. For those with the front living room, I have no idea.

As my DW points out, the stove is next to the door. Stove fire = perhaps looking for another exit.

BTW: On the newer model TMs, I don't think the rear beds lift anymore. That's why they moved to the exit window and took off the awning/window cover.
