News about TM
Matt from Custom RV gave us several new pieces of information about Trailmanor during his presentation at the Pismo Beach rally. Unfortunately, I didn't take any notes, so I'll just list the few I remember. Perhaps others will chime in and fill in the things I left out.
1. Custom RV is now managing the Western Region for TM. Matt didn't define this but I gather it is California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona.
2. The 3326 model is being discontinued. Just didn't sell enough.
3. If I remember right, the new president was the western regional sales manager.
4. New dealers will be announced shortly in Salt Lake City and Boise. It sounded like they are evaluating all of their dealers with emphasis on customer service.
5. Business is good. Elkmonts are around 40% of sales and are running a 6-8 week backlog.
My memory is not the best so if I got some of this wrong or if someone remembers other key points from his presentation, chime in.

One thing I remember hearing is that they are working on a new model, the 2922 (?) that will have a king size bed in the rear. Also, they are thinking about making some of the other models interchangeable into being SL models (including maybe the 3023?) so that dealers won't have to stock two different types of the same length, but would be able to switch them out for a customer at their own facility.
It will be interesting to see what they finally decide to come up with.

I am heartened to see how strong the TM brand is, in this economy, especially with the demise of Hi-Lo.
Dealer-optioned SL is a great idea if they can engineer it properly. I specifically chose the SL for maximum floor space, and the 2720 is the largest I can park & tow. But, more options can only help the consumer, if done correctly.

I thought they also mentioned they are working on a power lift for the shells.

Yes, I remember that too. They were given one to try to "break" and said that so far, it's held up quite well.
I believe that they said it would be an option, and would also be available for a retrofit on older models.

Good catch. Matt also said it would be a rather expensive option - somewhere around $2000 - 3000.

Not only have I seen one, we HAVE one and love it! You should see the reactions we get when people see the back porch. We've had it a year now and at least 100 people have come in to see what it's like. Perfect for my husband, myself and the Oz.

I think Bankston RV's estimate of the dry weight, though, is nowhere near correct.

Definitely a typo on the weight; 1,850 is stock without "extras". They'll never sell it with that listing!
