Question Cover for 2720 SL and Jack Antenna

I have been reading all the different comments about covers and I am ready to purchase one for my brand spankin new 2720sl, but what do I do about the Jack Antenna? It's not removable, and my hubby says to put a bucket over it (with padding around the lip to prevent scratching). Any other suggestions?

You have a nice trailer and good looking tow vehicle from the little I can see of it.

I have the jack antenna on my unit and when I covered it for the winter, I knew that for one, I didn't want the Adco cover "pulling" on the antenna, and two, the snow-load we get here in Buffalo would surely damage that antenna.

I took a well used flip-lid plastic box and removed the two lid parts. I then sawed off the plastic protruding hinge lips to essentially make the top of the box flat. I then used two layers of duct tape to "pad" the top rim which when flipped over, is the part that will rub on the TrailManor roof.

But here is the problem. Despite my efforts to make the box padded against the roof, the movement of the box all winter long, under windy conditions, still abraded the paint on the roof.

So I suggest another type of padding for the flip lid box.

By the way, I E-mailed the Jack company about making a can or box to protect the antenna under the cover and they thanked me for a great idea. But I wonder if they ever came out with this product.

Maybe I need to go on "Shark Tank" or the "Devil's Den" with my idea.
