Need to Replace AC
Hello All, Currently on my 2009 30/23 I have the Coleman Polar Mach White
Air Conditioner, Product ID #: 9203C876 and need to replace it. I was wondering has anyone replaced this model and if so which AC unit did you purchase as a replacement? I have been looking and its hard to discern what would be a suitable replacement.

Not meaning to pry, but are you sure you need to replace it? Most air conditioner failures involve a capacitor which can be replaced for $10 or so.

Hello Bill, Not prying at all. It is a mechanical failure, I believe a bearing in the fan housing. It is old and loud (when working as it should) and I don't really want to put any further time or money into it.

My TM came with the Dometic Low profile unit [640315XXXX]. It's rated at 13,500 BTU's. I checked the Dometic site and they're pricy. But hopefully you can find something similar for less. Mine does keep me cool enough when I use it. I also use a small usb powered fan to help circulate the air.

Consider heat pump options
I don't know if you have already sourced a new unit, but there are some heat pump versions that are available now. The benefits are discussed at: https://www.thervgeeks.com/what-is-an-rv-heat-pump/

Hi, I replaced the AC on my 2006 2619 last week. I needed a lower profile unit to better fit in the garage. I purchased a Coleman Mach 8 Plus with heat and condensate pump directly from Trailmanor. I originally ordered from Camping World and after 8 months of back ordered emails and an alleged lost shipment, I paid an extra 300 and got it directly from Trailmanor in 1 week. Install was straight forward, I changed to a blue tooth ceiling controller inside and had to modify the front part of the trim slightly. Super quiet and definitely uses less power at start up.

Replace AC?
I am on the road. My AC turned on OK ran continuously for about 2 hours. It then attempted to start, could not, attempted over and over a number of times but never started. It then started to smell like it was burning. This happened once before but then it seemed to be working OK. At this point I do not think that I trust this unit. Do I get a 15000 or 13500 unit?

Start/Run Capacitor Burn out could lead to burning smells.

It could be the 'start capacitor' or 'run capacitor', both are replaceable at relatively low cost. Air Conditioners hate low voltage "brownout" conditions, that could have been a factor with a bad-quality connection to the grid (E.g. a "home-built" 30A socket wired with long or small wires).
I can't advise about the size to buy- your only good indication is whether the old one kept TM cool in really hot weather, back when it was still running "like new". 13.5K is plenty good enough for my TM, but it's a super-small model 2619.

There is another capacitor for the outside fan, a total of 3 capacitors. The burning smell was most likely the motor of the outside fan (the one which pulls air through the evaporator coils). They are unfortunately expensive and somewhat harder to replace.
