Hi!
In case you haven't heard about the Ford F150, Explorer and Expedition recalls due to Cruise Control Switch Fires, here is some info for you. The official recall included these

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/
FORD / EXPEDITION 2000
FORD / F150 2000
FORD / SUPERCREW 2001

The investigation has now been expanded beyond these years to include 1995-1999 and 2001-2002 F150's
The agency said it would examine Ford F-150 pickups from the 1995-1999 and 2001-2002 model years, and Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators from the 1997-1999 and 2001-2002 model years.

I had my husband disconnect the Cruise Control to be safe until the official word is received. I don't want to see the truck, car, garage and maybe the woods go up in smoke!
I found some pictures of the switch to disconnect and am adding them now. I believe this shows a 1999 Ford F150, but my husband was able to use them to find the switch in our 1998 model.
