the need for a blue boy
we just purchansed a 2011 trailmanor 2720sl and i am wondering how big(or
small) the grey and black water capacity is on this trailer. I can not find specs
on this in my owners manual. Any help you have to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have 6 gallon tote that I have used. It is plenty big enough for the Thetford. The grey water is 30 gallons capacity though.

As you asked the size of the black water tank? the black tank is part of the Thetford toilet on board only. 6 gallons capacity. And the operational instructions indicate that you "charge" it with 3 gallons of fresh water in order to utilize the recirculating pump and you use the shower head wand to fill it. So, the additional capacity is only 3 gallons. No black holding tank underneath the trailer. The gray tank is 30 gallons.

As mentioned, the 2620SL has a 30 gallon grey water tank and a 20 gallon fresh water tank. So, theoretically, you will only need a tote with 20 gallon capacity if you don't have water hookup. We have a Thetford tote with 17 gallon capacity (if I remember correctly) which is plenty big. Especially considering that in 3 years it remains unused. We have found that the thought of having a tote is actually much more useful than actually having a tote...

We used a 15 gallon tote for 8 months last year. Once I made the mistake of fill it from both and the 15 gallons was just to much weight to handle.

I have the 24Gal one also. And it even has a handle that I can drop over the ball hitch and drag to the sewer drop. I have taken it camiing about 3 times and have never had to use it. Even when I had the 2720SL. Must say I'm glad.
PS: Must add that I have only camped 3days and 2 nights at campground that don't have full service.

For those 3 days, I don't believe that you had six adults with you, three of which were women.
That is why I have the blue tote.
I do not recall the size, but I can dump twice and not be concerned about making sure it does not overflow the blue tote.
