Default Shower drain

I have aleviated a slow shower in our 2619, but I came across something. There is a small aluminum box that has the shower "P" trap drain inside. I could not get my monkey wrench on the nut as it was too small, but I don't see getting anything bigger up there to loosen it and remove and clean the trap.

Has anyone had this "P" trap off and how did you get it off?

Default P Trap

Try typical drain cleaners before you remove a p trap. You can also try an old fashion plunger with some water in the shower pan.

If you still have a blockage you can buy strap type wrenches that will help with the tight fit for a regular wrench.

hope this helps and see you on the road!

PS to anyone, I am looking for a 2720SL in the Midwest, no luck so far

You might try a basin wrench:

mjlaupp is right. The So Cal dealer had to use that tool to repair a leak on my 2007 shower.
