Default Cleaning Roof and Air Vents

Tomorrow I will be cleaning the roof on my 2619. I have two questions.

1. How do you clean the inside of the air vents? You can't remove the screens from the inside. What is your method?

2. When you clean the roof, do you climb on top? I'm just a bit uneasy about doing that. But at the same time I'm not sure how else to check the caulk around the vents after I clean. Just wondering everyones thoughts.

After the cleaning this weekend, our first big adventure will be next weekend. Can't wait.

Many thanks.

I used my compressor with an air nozzle, with the vents open and sprayed air out from the inside. It cleaned the screens and the fan blades on the Fantastic Fan pretty good.
I use an eight ft, ladder and a long handled soft bristle brush to clean the roof when I wash my TM. Using the same eight ft, ladder, I can see most of the caulking. When needed I place a piece of half inch plywood (2'x2) on the roof to access it for inspection or repair. Welcome to the Forum and enjoy your first camping experience in your TM.
