Default Beds

What happens to the beds when the trailer collapses? Do you have to move the matresses beforehand? Do they raise up to the ceiling? Can you leave your sleeping bag/blankets on the beds?

Please forgive me if this is already answered somewhere. I looked and didn't find the answer.

Thanks, Diane

Like Texas Camper said, a good portion or the setup is the same for all types of RV's. I checked the time this weekend it took me to set up the things by myself directly related to TM; raising and securing top, putting up the door, setting up wardrobe and bathroom, getting objects off of floor and hooking up ( TV, hanging wall cabinet and microwave, etc.) putting down sealing flaps, fastening beds in place and filling recirculating toilet. It took me about 25 minutes. I would think 2 people working as a team would take 10 to 15 minutes.

To me this extra time is well worth it for the ease and safety of towing, good gas mileage and smaller tow vehicle allowed with the TM.

..and when you are newbie and you forget "one little thing" you get to open and close the TM an extra time for more exercise luckily.. the more you camp the better you get at opening and closing the TM.

We leave all the covers and pillows on the beds, and have had no difficulty closing the unit. we find the mattress thin, but comfy. Other folks use egg crate type pads on their beds and swear by them for comfort.

Setting up our unit alone would take me 20-25 minutes, but less than 20 when we all pitch in which usually means having the kiids screw down the corner stabilizers and hook up the water and electric, and my wife and I emptying stuff off the floor like the miucrowave, TV and other items. Once you get into a rhythm, it's really quite simple.
