Temp control on fridge works in DC mode
I have read in numerous places here that the temp control does not work while the fridge is in DC mode. Today, quite by accident, I think I have confirmed that is not the case.
I turned the fridge from gas to DC in preparation to leave camp, and then I checked the Link 10 battery monitor to make sure it was drawing its usual 9 amps. Much to my surprise, the Link 10 was measuring only about 0.2 amp draw from the battery. The temp control was only about half way up, so I turned it to max, during which time I heard a gentle click noise, and the Link 10 bumped up to a 9 amp draw. I turned the temp control back to where it was to confirm what had happened, and the Link 10 went back to 0.2A. Turned it back up, and it went up to 9A again.
So at least on my fridge, I'd say there is control in DC mode.
