Rear Bunk Step??
We just bought a 2003 2720. Getting into the rear bunk is a little difficult. We have been using a standalone step we carry for the outside when the curb side has a greater drop off then normal. But it's only 8" tall and the bunk is about. 36"s.
Maybe there was a step when the camper was new, but we never received it. Which could be a option to buy a factory step. We started looking at different steps. We are thinking a 2 stepper, but it will block the access to the draws. There as so many to chose from fold up, none fold up, wood metal plastic. Maybe were missing the method to get in the bunk?
Any suggestions or steps that work well for you would be appreciated.

I almost purchased a two step stool from Amazon, but opted for the single version. If you search in this forum under "two step stool" you should find several discussions about several options.

We use a plastic, two step, folding , and get it out at night and fold it and store it when we get up in the morning. As far as I know no factory option was offered.

I'm vertically challenged and one step wasn't enough. We got a two step from Rubbermaid I think. Yes, it is in the way of the drawers but it's light and moves easily. I also just move it enough to open the drawers and sit on the stool to look in the drawers. Get the clothes in or out and shut the drawers and move the stool back. Also I don't use the under bed storage for often used items.
I was going to get the folding one but the reviews aren't the best- breaking, not holding enough weight, etc, so I have held off on that.
This is similar to the one I use. http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Two...two+step+stool

I bought the same one and it really does fit perfectly in that space, and after adding a rug on top the dog likes it just fine, although sometimes she just needs a little boost if she's tired.
It does get in the way of the lower drawers but I don't store much daily items in there. Same for the underbed storage, that is mostly stuff that comes out the first day while setting up.
I'm no lightweight and I like it because it is strong and large enough you can't really slip off it.

These seem to be the same steps we have been looking at The rubber made 2 step non-folding, the rubber made folding 2 step. I did see in the HF flier the platform was on sale and was going to stop by and look at it.

Hate to admit it, but we have 3 steps. We have two cairn terriers and we are worried about them jumping down from the bed and breaking a leg. It is really a pain to close the TM and also blocks the drawers. What we do for our animals.

I have used the Rubbermaid folding two step for years. Probably wouldn't be the best choice for a pet step, but good for humans.

On the other end of the hybrid I made a set of removable steps for the dog and grand kids when needed. When I need to use the bottom door I just pull the steps out of the way, it's no big deal. I keep stuff in that space that I don't use very often and even if I did my dog comes first ( always).
