Default Bag seal replacement

Hi, I am a new owner of a used trailmanor. I bought a 1998 3023 from my aunt.
I noticed that the top bag seal is ripping and needs to be replaced. Has anyone done this themselves? How hard is it? My aunt noticed this when she got it out of storage and ordered replacements for it and gave me some of the fabric and foam that she ordered from the factory. is there anything else I need?

We are a family of five and love our "new" trailmanor.

Thanks, for your advice and info,

Dave

Default Old bag

Hi yas dave
welcome to the would of the tm, i know it has been done by others, do not know how hard, that is one of the things i have not done as of yet. I'am sure someone else will chime in with some help, but in the meantime try useing the search, just type in what you are looking for .
Just advice for what it is worth, haveing an older tm , spend the 12.dollers and become a member, will be the best money ever spent, with the help and ideas you will get.
I myself have a soft spot for the older tm, anything you need just ask and i will try to help.

Dave,
I have a 2002 3023. A couple years ago I changed my top bag seal. It was pretty easy. Eventually I'll have to replace the side seals as well... but for that I'll have to rotate the shell to get to the whole seal.
Just make sure you put some wood on the top of the rear shell so you don't dent the surface while working on it. And be carefull in folding the ends so they are not too bulky. I built the seal in place... that is, stapled the fabric to the shell, then laid in the foam, and stapled it closed.
I used my 18 guage staple gun, woked great. And, you will have to re-seal the top metal seal as well.
Good luck...
