Finally bought a used Trailmanor! 2000 2027 SL Manual?

So I found a 2000 2027 SL on Craigslist for $1,400. The owner had it listed as a pop-up and not a Trailmanor. It needs a good cleaning, but it seems like everything is in decent shape. I drove it home for about 1 hr 20 m without any issues...was my first time towing and I was nervous. I have a 2002 Chevy Avalanche and it seemed to do okay. Does anybody know where to get a manual for a 2000 2027 SL? The previous owner showed me everything I needed to do to close it down but it was a lot to remember. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the manual...I just paid. The first side of the trailmanor is very difficult to open. Is this normal?

Do you mean difficult to lift the shell or to unlatch the shell?

Difficult to lift. I think maybe those torsion bars aren't working properly?

Remember, the AC is on the front roof. Should be heavier than the rear roof.

The AC on the 2000 is probably in the side cabinet. I think the switch occurred in 2001 or 2002.

My front shell is also heavy to lift. When fully up, the torsion bar is no longer in contact with the adjustment bolt, and the adjustment bolt is maxed out. Somewhere on this site I did see an adjustment procedure that came straight from TM. It had something to do with setting the TM up, then adjusting the bolt until it would just contact the torsion bar, then add a certain number of turns.

It seems that after 15 years the torsion bars do weaken. I'm going to look around locally and see if some one can fabricate a torsion bar for me.

Yes, my AC is on the side. I will try and do the adjustment...thanks! If not I guess I'll just have to get help or become stronger lol.

Because you don't have the springs helping so much, it is possible that they have weakened unevenly, like mine. It is important you don't let it slam down, and let it down evenly and gently.

Thanks for the advice. It did go down unevenly. Hopefully I'll get better at it because I'm struggling right now lol.
