Default Electrical upgrades

I installed a 1500-watt sine wave inverter, and a PD9160 converter in our 3124, and have uploaded a photo of the installation. The transfer switch was installed in the space where I removed the original converter.

Also photos of hot water heater switch, and Trimetric 2020 mounting.

Very nice work Bruce.

I just finished mounting a Xantrex Link 10. Can you tell me what your battery and fusing setup is? 1500 Watts is over 100 amps. I just killed my battery experimenting with available amp-hours. I was rudely shown how much lead/acid amp-hours is reduced by high current drains. I am finding that there is a lot to learn about RV power.

Default Inverter Wiring

Caver,
Got your PM. I am posting my reply to the forum. Others may be interested. I hope you don’t mind.
I made a battery tray to mount 4 golf car batteries behind the propane tanks. The 2/0 cables go through the floor directly to the inverter. The 500 amp shunt for the Trimetric is mounted on the side of the inverter. The converter is wired to the battery cables at the inverter, and the wiring to the fuse panel is connected to the converter output. I am still in the middle of this project and plan to install a 30 amp fuse from the converter to the fuse panel and a 150 amp fuse at the battery bank. Hope this helps.
I replaced the water pump with a variable speed pump. I had one in my old trailer and loved it. You can barely hear it.
