Default Mattress Topper closing

I want to add a memory foam mattress topper to my bed in the TM. Before I get one is there any issues with closing the TM with the addition of say 3" of foam?

I found the topic discussed and I see that I won't be able to keep it on when closing.

A 1 inch topper made a world of difference. I can leave it on but now I need to remove the comforter which wasn't necessary before

We tried to use a 2 inch foam topper and found the back shell would not close. As it is we have to remove the comforter in order to secure the rear shell. Leon's suggestion that it may depend on the TM model is probably correct. It looks like some models will allow for the extra thickness when closing the back shell. I think 3 inches will definitely create a closing problem.

JonS55 . . . did I read your post correctly? You were able to edit your original post?
