I've been getting ready for our last camping trip for the year, and couldn't remember the last time the anode rod got replaced. Good thing I changed it. because there wasn't hardly anything left. I guess the main reason why I posted this was to remind everyone that it's something that should be checked every year. I do most the maintenance and repair on my TrailManor, and this is a pretty easy job. It only cost about $15 to change, and I didn't realize our water heater cost almost $400! That's a lot cheaper to maintain than ruin from not doing the maintenance. I also flushed it out because there was a lot white crusty stuff inside. I found this video helpful:
