Default TM lower door hinge problems

Hope someone can help. We're having an annoying but realtively minor problem with the pin in the lower hinge of our TM entry door.  It gradually works down as we open and close the door. After a couple of days camping we have to hammer it back up into the hinge so we can fold up the trailer. Current solution is to carry a hammer in the door compartment and give it some wacks as it works down. Apparently was a problem for the previous owner because the floor was damaged by the pin.

We had the same problem with our 2720.  Hubby used the hammer to drive the rod back into position.  Then, with needle nose pliers or sidecutters, he pinched the very bottom of the hinge closed.  Worked great, until the rod started working its way upward!  Then he simply repeated the process for the top of the hinge.  Be sure to pinch just the very end of the hinge.

I've had this problem a couple of times as well, but usually when I'm not level enough.  When this happened, I find it tough to get the pin in and when I try to put the two halves of the door together, it starts working its way out, and sometimes, the small screw holding the top together rubs against the edge of the bottom, preventing it from closing.  That may be contributing to your problem.  I wonder if we can purchase sturdier clips for the pin....

Glad you guys posted that. Thought I was the only one with this problem. :

I'll have to try the pinch fix method.  I've got nothing new to add.  But Thanks for the posting!
