Sofa bed in 2720SL not level when converted to bed
Has anyone else had an issue with the back part of the sofa that converts to a bed in the 2720SL? The way the sofa converts into a bed is to slide out the sofa seat bottom on a track and then you're supposed to lay the sofa back part down on the tracks to make a "double" bed. It's really just a little wider twin bed than a double bed, but the issue I'm having isn't the size, but that the sofa back part is much lower than the sofa seat bottom when you lay it down on the tracks.
Has anyone else had this problem? And, did you come up with a way to elevate the sofa back part so it's level with the sofa seat bottom when converted to a bed? Don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone already has a good fix for this.
Thanks!

If the back is placed down the wrong way there is a height difference. There is like a 2x2 on the bottom of the back that has to face towards the back of the camper. There is also a mod to tighten up the seat bottom when is slides out so it doesn't rock as you move around when sleeping.

Thx for responding, but I've tried putting the sofa back the way you described and the other way around with the 2x2 next to the seat, and neither way works very well. I may just have to come up with something that is on the tracks on each side that elevates the whole sofa back when it's laying down.

We had an identical problem with the sofa back on our 2010 3326 slide out living room. I'm pretty sure it is the same sofa as used in your model.
I made two "L" shaped pieces of wood that fit in the track at each end of the open space after the larger part of the bed is pulled out away from the wall.
I cannot get pictures at the present time as our TM is in storage. It will be at least three weeks before we pull it out again.
As I recall, the TM comes with a short wood block on the wall (in the center of the wall) that is supposed to support the top part of the back when it is down (I may have also increased the height of that block). There is no support at either end of the top edge.
The bottom part of the back has a "2 inch" beam that keeps the bottom back away from the wall when the back is up and raises the bottom up close to the height of the front part of the bed when it is down. It's about 1" too short.
I made the "L" shaped blocks long enough to fit snugly in the tracks, being "squeezed" between the rubber bumper at the rear end of the track and the rear edge of the front part of the bed. They looked like really tall "L's" laying on their long side. (See attached sketch).
As I recall the long part of the "L" was about 14 inches long and 1 inch thick and the short leg was about 2 1/2 to 3" inches tall.
Hope this helps. I'll get some pix the next time we have the TM out.

Thx much Jerry. Did you clamp these down in any way? I think my issue is exactly the same as what you had.

I haven't found it necessary to clamp them in any way. They are a "snug" fit.
Admittedly we do not bounce around as much as kids might, but so far they are staying in place.
