Default Fridge on propane

Sorry if this foolish but we need to know if it's possible to put the fridge on propane overnight with the shells down so we have a head start in the morning? Never tried this before and if possible , we can put the bikes on the rack tonight .We will cut the propane off before leaving in the am, never travel with it on.

The way I do is to pack the camper the night before and leave the fridge set to 12V. I leave the camper plugged in to shore power and it overrides the 12V setting (I also do not have the camper connected to the TV). I also ensure that the fridge fan is on whenever the fridge is running and the shells are down. I leave the shore power connected as we hook up the camper and the right before we leave I unplug from shore and connect to the TV while it is running. The fridge is then connected to running 12V power as we drive. If we stop for an extended period of time during our travels, I unplug the camper power from the TV and reconnect when we continue our drive.

Of course, if you don't have a 3-way fridge, this method will not work for you.
